February 21, 2005. That was the last time we had stepped foot into Onyxia's Lair prior to this Saturday. We decided to shift our focus on the Molten Core and worry about her after we had finished our domination there. With that bullshit now out of the way we were free to shift our attention back toward Onyxia. We entered the Lair on Saturday and gave her a few runs, nothing too impressive... 41% was the lowest we could get her. Tonight though, well... tonight was a whole other story! We refined our game plan based on what we had learned the night before, and after much EXPing Willis and I were finally able to reach Super Saiyan level giving us a distinct advantage!
As if that was not enough we had a slew of other exploits at our disposal. That's right folks, being Horde we have a whole lot of blatant imbalances in our arsenal. Phase 1 was simple enough, our elite Shaman task force dropped Tremor and Grounding totems then proceeded to Frost Shock kite her until 65%. At that point she took flight and our Undead Rogue Squad laid into her dropping her HP rapidly. At 40% she landed, initializing Phase 3. Our Undead Priests quickly stacked Devouring Plague onto that bitch and dropped her Health to 20% in no time, at which point our elite Warrior Army (certainly not an army of one!) executed her down to almost nothing...
It wasn't over yet though, oh no... not by a long shot. It was at this point the most crucial part of the battle took place. Victory or defeat would be decided by one press of a button! Thankfully, that button was none other than Potsnu's Will of the Forsaken, a.k.a. - "I win!"
Potsnu instantly become immune to all attacks and dropped the purple menace with ease. WE WERE VICTORIOUS! Onyxia had fallen for the FIRST TIME (OMGZ) on Illidan to Team Ice! This was not only a victory for us as a guild, but a victory for the Horde as a whole. We did have other reasons to push for the win though, and they were drawn out for us in blood. No one fucks with the Kargath Guards and gets away with it - this win is for you!
Whatever the cause, we were greatly rewarded for our efforts with not one, not two, but four different lewtz...

Onyxia's 38 Slayers
What a day indeed. Seriously though, it was a great accomplishment for us, and an absolutely awesome fight. We're very happy to be able to bring this victory to the Horde.  Thanks goes out to everyone that hung in there through the night. Priests, Mages, Warriors, Rogues, Shamans, Warlocks, Hunters and Druids... thank you. Personally I wasn't surprised we got her though, after all... it was in the cards.
