October 21, 2005: Nefarian Down, Feat. Piccalo |

Truer words have never been spoken. Before we get to that though, I'll open this update with an Emo haiku...
"I cut myself now,
Nefarian is dead - loots!
Linkin Park is life.
It's thanks to our emo-positive, self-destructive attitude that we were not only able to accomplish a Horde first tonight (and server second), but also a SERVER first! For your viewing pleasure I present Nefarian's corpse - dead, with no Lok'Amir (love you Chez!):

Raid Makeup
Loot was a Breastplate of Wrath (Piccalo), Archimtiros' Ring of Reckoning (Kloud), Boots of the Shadow Flame (Tenjou), Dragonstalker's Breastplate (Darren) and Head of Nefarian (Rombus).
As you can see, the Horde first is Nefarian dead. Who cares about that though? That's probably the smallest accomplishment of the evening. More impressive, we actually managed to get 99% of the guild to line up and form our FIRST organized guild picture. A true Illidan first, and the most impressive feat Team Ice has accomplished to date!
After defeating Nefarian, we started to get a lot of the typical tells... you know -
"Grats!"
"You guys ROCK!"
"You deserved that kill!"
"What dropped?"
"AWESOME JOB!"
"loots?"
"You guys recruiting Warriors?"
"GG"
"can u link itemz plz?"
"You guys recruiting Shamans?"
One caught my eye though... "how did you do it?" Well, the answer is actually pretty simple. We have Piccalo. Piccalo is an enigma. He's been spotting at gas stations all over the US, and from his days of main tanking the likes of Nagafen, Vox and even Emperor Ssraeshza, and now... Nefarian. He's a WoW Idol, made famous by his Sulfuras. His elite DPS (tanking him with a 2H weapon + Fury build, mind you) pretty much conquered the beast alone...

Exhausted by his LEGENDARY DPS, the beast nearly fell asleep while tanking...

Overall we were very pleased with the encounter. It was fun and random, but not random in the way that, oh, say, the gay ass drakes are. No luck involved here, just skill. Despite the number of videos released, TI stayed true to our creed and developed our own strategy. We ended our Nefarian kill with a grand total of 4 deaths, zero of which occurred during Phase 1. Next week we'll welcome him into farm mode and place Blackwing Lair on our MC status. Hopefully, once all of our Warriors are decked out in "end-game" loot we'll gain a huge advantage in PvP. The advantage being that the opposition will past them over as L39 Scarlet Monastery rejects. Behold, MAZZ IS ALL HIS END-GAME GLORY! Yes, this is not a joke...

Oh and before I go to sleep, $epeen++;
